There are a few pics, This is some of my experience with this shop.

These are my '67 GT390 (C6AE-R)heads that I took to:

Darl Mumau (owner)

xxxxxxxxx Nice xxxxxxxxx...
I was pretty excited to see a good looking set of heads
sitting on my bench ready for an engine.
My hopes were shattered when I had my new
machine shop inspect the springs for suitability for
my cam, he cam across this web of fractures
missing chunks and painted over brass.

Note the silver paint covering the brass
guides and the broken edges.

This is the best pic I could get of the cracks here.

xxxxxxxxx xxxxxxxxx...
All of these cracks and brakes were covered by valve seals.

This would have held the seal properly for what? two seconds?

So, when I confronted Darl about this he told me "That's life" and "cracks are normal".
This is an example of a "perfectly exceptable set of heads" he claims.
After abour 3 hours of arguing he reluctantly gave me a refund for the rebuild.
He didn't have comparable castings to replace the heads, so I got a receipt.
As of this writing, he still owes me rebuildable cores.

Hear is the chamber of one cylinder:

Note the valve lap and the "graphite" finish.

These pictures don't even show the inconsistant
and sloppy (or tight) valve guide clearances.

Hear is what they should look like:

This is before the vavle job.
