| This is a 390 with a pretty catastrophic failure. The conecting rod failed, but I'll know more when I tare into it. It's probably a total loss. The picure of the piston you can see the many times the piston hit the intake valve, bending it of course. |

| I finally got into that poor 390 and found a piston had failed the result was breaking the adjascent con rod and a chunk out of the block. This area can be welded and the cylinders may be sleavable but this block is probably not worth the cost of repairs. |
